Zurich, 13 July 2020 – Smartwatcher Technologies AG is pleased to announce executive changes to support its next phase of growth:
- Effective immediately, Ms. Jill Allemang, joins the company as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Her responsibilities include strategic, commercial and financial direction.
- Mr. Erik Stricker, Co-founder and CEO since 2016, remains on the executive team as Product Director, responsible for product pipeline vision and hardware strategy.
- Mr. Morgan Cohen, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, also remains on the executive team.
- Mr. Thijs de Bruijn, with Smartwatcher Technologies since 2019, joins the executive team as Operations Director.
As CEO Ms. Allemang will focus on driving Smartwatcher to the next level, building on the strong market entry reached under Mr. Stricker’s leadership.
“I first met Smartwatcher in 2018 as part of the Zurich Aging 2.0 chapter inauguration event,” notes Ms. Allemang. “The design and relevance of the company’s personal safety alarm made a strong impression – simple elegance that helps people remain independent and active as they age.
The strength one finds underpinning this service is a robust, reliable safety technology platform that connects friends, family and, if desired, professionally-certified call centres and healthcare providers with the person who wears the watch.
I feel genuinely inspired as I join this positive team in its goals to grow as an international safety technology service company. We make a difference in how to address elderly care with dignity and connection.”
